The police prevented the kidnap of Susanne Klatten and her mother Johanna Quandt In 1978.

While doing an internship in Regensburg with BMW, where she met Jan Klatten. Later in 1990, they married each other. The couple separated in 2018 and couldn’t continue their marriage. They had 3 three children. 

She has been a member of the University Council since 2005. Two years later, Helg ‘Russak’ Sgarbi blackmailed her. He was a Swiss national and blackmailed Susanne for keeping an affair. 

Soon after that, Sgarbi was charged with many similar blackmail issues with several women. He was arrested and imprisoned for six years. Ernano Barreta who was an Italian hotel owner, filmed Klatten and Sgarbi with hidden cameras and got arrested. Therefore, Klantten was imprisoned for 7 seven years.
